Caring for a loved one with dementia isn’t easy. The majority of dementia caregivers experience emotional stress and physical pain as a result of their responsibilities.

Of the approximately 16 million people who are caring for someone with some form of dementia, 68% of them will pass away while caring for their loved one primarily due to the overwhelming stress that often accompanies dementia care.

A Loving Approach to Dementia Care

The Villas at Stanford Ranch is welcoming author and dementia expert Laura Wayman for a free event for dementia caregivers on October 5, 2019.

Ms. Wayman brings hope, purpose and meaning to the challenges that these caregivers face.

At this event, Ms. Wayman will share “creative interventions”, a clear understanding of what dementia is, what it is not, and a specialized tried and true form of communication for those who are suffering with Alzheimer’s or other type of dementia symptoms.

This presentation is targeted to touch the hearts of caregivers, families, senior care professionals and the entire community.

The event is open to the public and free to attend.

The material will provide the opportunity to feel a full range of emotions, from tears to laughter, and comfortably relate to sometimes serious and disturbing information, leaving those in attendance with a new sense of confidence, purpose and direction.
